Welcome to one of the great pubs in Lancaster. Here at the Borough we believe that the food and beer that we have to offer is amongst the very best Lancaster has to offer.

So what makes us great?

1) Great Food

We go to great lengths to ensure that we serve consistently great food all of the time. We are very proud of heritage and where possible we will always source our food locally, not only does this help our local economy but also keeps our carbon foot print to a minimum.

All our chicken and eggs are free range; our beef is 45 day aged from local farms in the surrounding hills and valleys.

We serve food from 12pm everyday selling  Lancashire specialties and pub classics, plus we serve Breakfast at weekends from 9am until 12pm. Our Sunday lunches are legendary too!

2) Great Beer

As a member of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale),  great ale is at the heart of our service and something that we are passionate about. We offer a wide selection of ales for you to choose from and all the breweries that supply us are local and are among the best in the world. We also have a vast menu of over fifty bottled beers ensuring that The Borough is the perfect location for genuine beer connoisseurs.

3) Great Service

The Borough has become one of the most popular pubs to work in Lancaster, weekly welcoming hundreds of people for everything from a quiet cup of coffee, a big Saturday night out to Weddings and events such as the Comedy Club.
