Lancaster Comedy Club

Sunday 29th August

Our next show includes Dan Nightingale who hails from just down the M6 in Preston. Dan's introduction to stand up was purely a fluke. He was working as the sound engineer at a Newcastle comedy club to pay his way through University when he decided to take the mic himself and was a professional comic within two years. Dan has since added many strings to his bow including support dates for Ross Noble and working as far afield as Dubai. Dan's quirky humour and unrivalled improvisational skills will ensure he is a staple on the UK circuit for years to come.

"A 100mph whirlwind....Brilliant" Manchester Evening News

"Magnetic, entertaining and wonderfully friendly" Three Weeks

"Fantastic...He has it in him to be another Kitson or Noble." Metro

Barry Dodds has forged an enviable reputation for himself over the last decade, charming audiences nationwide, with his uniquely tailored combination of disarming Geordie wit and wry, down-to-earth observational humour. Barry has taken the national circuit by storm, with his mix of surprisingly dark and irrepressibly cheeky material covering everything from failed culture bids to an obsession with ghosthunting. He also holds the somewhat dubious claim to fame of being the first ever stand up on Luxembourg TV.

"Razor sharp humour"  Metro    "winning friends with his energy and spirit…"  Chortle

"Very impressive" -  Jasper Carrot

Support comes from Sheffield's Gareth Urwin and the line up is topped off by a compere. Admission is £8 but as it's a Bank Holiday Sunday advance tickets at only £6 are strongly advised on 01524 64170 or in person at The Borough. If you fancy making an evening of it then special deals are available from The Borough's Michelin recommended kitchens. Simply ask.
